10 Unusual Things You Didn’t Know About Me Tag

I was tagged by fellow health and fitness blogger Nicola to do a “10 unusual things you didn’t know about me” tag. Since everything I post is health, fitness and wellness related I thought it would be fun do something a little different, plus I like talking about myself so why not! (I mean that in the most humble, non-conceited way). I made the effort to really put things that are not health/fitness related at all because at this point I’ve probably made it clear that I like to workout, that my current goal is to hold a handstand, that peanut butter is my boyfriend etc. So here goes! Enjoy kiddos!

  1. I study hospitality management. So although I do hope to get into the health/fitness industry when I’m done with my studies, I’m currently doing a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management in Switzerland.
  2. I don’t watch TV. Since the title of the tag was “unusal” things about me, I thought I’d include some strange things about me, such as the fact that I do not even remember the last time I watched a series or a movie (okay I went to go see Straight Outta Compton last week but that’s just cuz I’m a hip-hop fan). I’m a very high-energy person, and I’m always running around, have a million things to do, and am hardly ever home. I don’t really see the appeal of sitting and watching an episode of something, I feel like I’m wasting my time and would rather be doing something else. And if I do get a minute where I can relax and have nothing to do, I take advantage to sleep. Which brings me to my next point….
  3. I am queen of naps. I’m definitely a morning person, I’m usually up at 5:30 to get some yoga done, prepare my breakfast, my lunch, shower etc. Even on the weekends I rarely stay in bed past 8. Even though I’m a morning person, I don’t really go to bed that early either, and therefore usually get about 5:30/6 hours of sleep a night. This kind of goes against healthy lifestyle I preach about, since sleep is really important, but I deal with it by power napping. I can literally nap for 10 minutes, where I will actually fall asleep, have some crazy weird dream and then wake up feeling amazing, refreshed and ready to kill part 2 of the day. It’s a skill, really.
  4. I’m terrible at technology. Honestly, utterly and completely useless at it. How I got actually managed to start a website is beyond me (actually I owe that entirely to the very patient and helpful people at WordPress Support).
  5. When I was 12/13 I would eat ten Betty Crocker two-bite brownies a day. No joke. It was gross, I’m aware and thank god I realized that. But yeah I would basically take 10 out of the bag, put them on a little plate and sit in front of “8 Simple Rules” and eat them. #veganlife lol.
  6. I eat apples entirely. Basically a friend of mine once said that he ate apple cores and I should try. So I did (I don’t know why probs peer-pressure or something). Anyways, since then I just eat them fully because there’s no point in throwing the core out, like why waste food?! I quite like the crunch and have actually come to like the taste of the pips. I don’t eat the stem though; common I’m not a barbarian.
  7. I’m not an animal person. I’m probably the first vegan to say this ever and I’m sure there’s some extreme vegans out there with baseball bats looking for me now, but I’m just really not an animal person. I lived with a roommate who had a cat once, and the apartment perpetually smelled of cat pee, and the cat would make a mess of absolutely everything. I think that I don’t really have the patience to deal with taking care of an animal. I’m pretty independent and like to do me, so obviously puppies are cute and all but they’re less cute when they pee in your shoes.
  8. My biggest pet peeve: people that feed pigeons. I feel like my list is taking a pretty negative turn and I’m just sort of listing things I don’t like but oh well. It’s so annoying when people feed pigeons in parks cuz then the pigeons start harassing me for bread when I’m out for a jog and it’s like BRO I DON’T HAVE ANY LET ME RUN. In conclusion: don’t feed birds!
  9. On a more positive note, I love the sea. My family and I go sailing every summer and Christmas, and I just love the feeling of freedom you get when out on the ocean. Also the sun, beach and tanning. Also things I love.
  10. I will correct your grammar. Yeah sorry, I’m one of those. “It’s actually Ted and I, not me and Ted.”

So the point of the tag is to pass it on, so I tag Stef, Mary-Kate and Laura. Enlighten us with your list of weird facts about yourself por favor!
